YOGA CLASS SUGGESTIONS
With so many yoga classes and teachers at your fingertips, we understand it can be overwhelming to know where to start. While we encourage you to try all our yoga classes and teachers, if you’re looking for something more specific, these guidelines may be helpful.
I’m a beginner/getting back into shape:
If you are brand new to yoga, haven’t practiced in a while, are recovering from an injury, or just getting back into shape, your best place to start would be our Yoga Foundations class (Wednesdays 9pm, Saturdays at 1:30pm, Sundays at 10:30am). Our Restorative Yoga class (Sundays at 6pm), Candlelight Yin & Deep Stretch Flow classes are great too. Always remember to listen to your body!! If a pose doesn’t feel right, you are always welcome to take breaks and/or modify.
I’m a beginner and exercise regularly:
If you exercise regularly and consider yourself to be in shape, you’ll be fine trying any class. If your schedule permits, it is always a good idea to try a Yoga Foundations class to improve your technique and learn more about the fundamentals of yoga. Always remember to listen to your body!! If a pose doesn’t feel right, you are always welcome to take breaks and/or modify.
I want to challenge myself, build strength, and sweat:
If you’re looking to sweat and challenge yourself, these teachers are known to give you a nice sweat! Sharon, Danielle, Kartini, April, Jodi, Madeleine, & Ashley
I want to stretch and improve my flexibility:
While all yoga classes will include elements of stretching, our Deep Stretch Flow/Candlelight Yin classes focus on deep stretching and improving flexibility. If you want to progress faster consider a private bodywork session (starting at $65 for new students). Private bodywork sessions include deep tissue massage, assisted stretching, and injury assessments. Please email us to learn more.
I am drawn to the meditative/spiritual side of yoga:
All of our classes will sprinkle in nuggets of ancient yogic wisdom; However, if you’d like to go deeper, check out classes with Kareem, Uncle Robert (Breathwork, Meditation, & Sound), or Etan (Mindful Yoga)
I want classes with music or live music:
All classes at Laughing Frog are set to music with the exception of Jodi’s classes. We offer classes with Live Music every Monday at 7:30pm and Wednesday at 6pm, and a Soundbath every Friday at 8:30pm.
