YOGA CLASS SUGGESTIONS
With so many yoga classes and teachers at your fingertips, we understand it can be overwhelming to know where to start. While we encourage you to try all our yoga classes and teachers, if you’re looking for something more specific, these guidelines may be helpful.
I’m a beginner/getting back into shape:
If you are brand new to yoga, haven’t practiced in a while, are recovering from an injury, or just getting back into shape, your best place to start would be our Yoga Foundations class (Wednesdays 9pm, Saturdays at 2pm, Sundays at 10:30am). Our Restorative Yoga class (Sundays at 6pm) and Yin (deep stretching classes) are great too.
I’m a beginner and excercise regularly:
If you excercise regularly and consider yourself to be in shape, you’ll be fine trying any class. If your schedule permits, it is always a good idea to try a Yoga Foundations class to improve your technique and learn more about the fundamentals of yoga.
I want to challenge myself, build strength, and sweat:
If you’re looking to sweat and challenge yourself, start with these teachers: Claire, Danielle, Kristina, April, Jodi, Madeleine, Ashley, & Etan.
I want to stretch and improve my flexibility:
While all yoga classes will include elements of stretching, our Deep Stretch Flow/Candlelight Yin classes focus on deep stretching and on improving flexibility.
I am drawn to the meditative/spiritual side of yoga:
All of our classes will sprinkle in nuggets of ancient yogic wisdom; However, if you’d like to go deeper, check out classes with Kareem (aka Chief) or Uncle Robert (Breathwork and Sound), or Etan(Yoga Meditation Flow)
I want classes with music:
All classes at Laughing Frog are set to music with the exception of Jodi’s and Ana’s classes.
